How does AAA Insurance AG treat customer data?
AAA Insurance AG processes the data derived from the contract documents, which are necessary to the execution of the contract and use this information in particular for the determination of the premium, for risk assessment, for processing insurance claims and for statistical evaluations.
AAA Insurance AG can also use the data for marketing purposes, (e.g. analyses, creation of customer profiles), to process these and enrich it with data from third party sources and disclose it for marketing purposes.
The customer profile is used to optimize the provision of services and to submission of individual offers by the aforementioned company and its distribution. The data is stored physically or electronically.
AAA Insurance AG may transfer data to the extent required to third parties involved in the execution of the contract at home and abroad, in particular to co-insurers and reinsurers.
If a broker or intermediary is acting on behalf of the policyholder or AAA Insurance AG, AAA Insurance AG may disclose customer data to them for the aforementioned purposes. AAA Insurance AG may commission third parties, in particular in connection with the comprehensive or partial outsourcing of business areas and services (e.g. contract administration, payment transactions, debt collection, IT) to process the data, including particularly sensitive data.
Third parties and contractors may be domiciled in Switzerland or abroad. If the data is transferred to countries where there is no legislation in place to adequately protect the data, AAA Insurance AG guarantees the protection of the data by providing adequate guarantees.
In addition, AAA Insurance AG may obtain information from public authorities and other third parties relevant information, in particular on the claims experience and the data to comply with regulatory or legal requirements to disclose any duties or legitimate interests. This shall apply irrespective of the conclusion of the contract.
The policyholder has the right to obtain from AAA Insurance AG the information required by law regarding the processing of the data concerning him.
